Hey retro bro's, I'm modding a Fulton slickside upper reciever into a repro 601. Before I send it to Victor I want to make sure I'm not forgetting or missing something. Here's where it's at so far:
1- Removed forging flash from front round area of carry handle.
2- Removed flash from upper rear flat area of carry handle.
3- Removed all flash from inside of carry handle.
4- Removed ticmark, arrow, and "R".
5- Removed split "A" forgecode.
6- Reshaped CH area from round to three .250" flats.
7- Reshaped area below rear of port door to match lower reciever.
8- Drilled hole for port door spring.
ETA: Oops, almost forgot:
9- Counter bore front lug for 601 pivot pin!
So, is it done? I'd hate to send it off and get it anodized only to learn later that I forgot something.
Also, the raised "ridge" at the rear of the port door is thicker than the two Colt A1s I have. Maybe I should try a little cosmetic surgery on that part too...
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Beel
