i am working on the early armalite clone. what was the barrel diameter between the front sight base and the fh?

copied this from Ekie's m16 guide

Colt increased the diameter of the AR-15 barrel beyond ArmaLite's original specs during production of the Model 601. Diameter was increased from app. .565" to app. .575" in front of the front sight base.

i went a little smaller than that. it gives it more of an old school effect.
