Tried to hand loosen it. No go.
Do I need to get an armorers tool? |

No, if you have a RRA tube there's no tool for it. If you can't break it loose have someone else try that might have stronger hands/arms (no saying you're weak but..) If that doesn't break it then you can buy a strap wrench from sears or most anyplace else that sells tools.

Hit it with a heat gun first, use a good strap wrench or wrap it in something tough like leather, heavy/thick leather and pipe wrench it.
