I got my first ar pistol put together yesterday and got it to the range today

lower====superior
upper====J&T 7.5 flat top with picatiny gas block
sights====YHM front flip ... carry  handle for the rear
tube=====Ace pistol tube ...9mm buffer
internals==J&T ar 15 bcg...J&T trigger parts
chamber==5.56 nato

i was a little nervous about getting a 7.5  barrel because i have read of reliability issues

it ran flawlessly i ran 300 rds of umc with ZERO issues

i am happy with accuracy as well minute of water bottle at 60 yds was all i tried

it was a fun range toy

i am pleasanly surprised with how well everything went

i dont know if the 9mm buffer helped or if i was lucky or if reliability issues with 7.5 bbl is exagerated but i am very pleased with this build

I am smoking 2 racks of ribs and 2 chickens right now so I took the opportunity for some pics

Congrats on the build.  Yeah, pix are in order.  I just got an email from J&T stating that they resolved the issues with my uppers and are shipping them back to me tomorrow, so I am anxious to get back to the range and test them out for myself.

I'm glad to hear that.

I'm getting ready to build an AR pistol (I'm jumping through the SBR hoops just to keep my options open) and was wanting a 7.5" barrel.  I want to keep it as short of an overall length as possible, while maintaining reliability.

Hey, that looks very familiar....

I'm still deciding on what optics to place on mine.  One of them has a C-More currently, but will swap that out once they get SBR'd.

I am considering putting a ML2 on this one and a arms #40L

the accuracy of this thing is impressive
