OK. I'm a cheap SOB.
I looked at M&A, CMMG, RRA, etc...
I did check the sticky thread about WHO sells pistol uppers, now I need to know who usually has the best deal / quality.

I don't want to get some $300 piece of crap that will need $200 in parts to make work but at the same time I am a cheap SOB.

I checked on the EE and couldn't find one for sale used.

I don't want anything fancy. Just a 7 in barrel type with fixed front sight, cheap handguards and flat top upper. It would be nice if I could get a B/C included but I won't cry if I can't.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I ended up buying a 7in kitty cat upper from PK firearms...
Did I screw up?

I'm putting it on a built CMMG pistol lower (reg AW in CA).

Sound like a good set up?

You can't go wrong with PK Firearms. Paul and company are good guys to deal with.

I suck at posting pics.

Sent 90+ rounds down the tube perfectly :)

I gotta get a different flash supp for this thing!
The muzzle blast really kicks you in the chest and face

So cool and yet ammo cost so much :( ....
Thanks to everyone here who posted thier sugestions and other info that I totally coppied. You saved me from lots of grief.

The CMMG lower is a great set up. It basically has a RRA entry tube with (I think) an ACE sling adapter to retain the retent pin and secure the stock. Very straight forward and cool setup.

PK firearms had my upper to me lightning quick and exactly what I ordered.

Never going to sell this one!

Ummm I would check to make sure its still cool as it is registered as an Assualt Weapon and NOT a pistol which is what it will be... I would just check if i were you. I'd hate to see you lose your Regitered AW in Kalifornia

Booked out from CMMG as pistol.
Booked out by TX FFL as pistol
DROS'ed (CA registered) and 4473'ed to me by my class III FFL as a Assault Pistol and registered as such.

Paperwork, paperwork everywhere I look...
Trust me. Everything 110% legally done here in CA. I called the CA DOJ firearms division several times to make sure I was doing my LE registration process legally.

Thanks for the concern though.

I suck at posting pics.
Its built and runs great.
It looks just like "pham"'s on page 8 of the pic section but mine has an A3 flat top upper with a RRA bolt and anti rotation pins installed by CMMG.

nice i just read in your other thread that you are just aquiring the lower and registering it now as you are LEO... Do you have to give it up when you retire?
