user426 that looks bad ass I am thinking about buying a upper from Spike

The upper is made by a company called Spikes Tactical out of Orlando,FL .I bought two ST-15 pistol lowers from them and they are  cutting down the barrel to my upper right now. Here is a link to one of spikes 9mm side cocking uppers on gunbroker

I think it was around 550.00 with shipping....... I probably could have shopped around for the components and assembled it myself but I figured it was worth the price and had to have it.....

I really like it.  This looks like it might make a very cool SBR!  Any additional feedback on the upper?  I tried Google and got nothing.

I thought the upper receiver might have been made by Socom Mfg., the link to their website is dead so you can't see the pix.....
I can say that after about 1500 rounds it is still running without a hitch....

No offense, but what does it do that any other 9mm pistol doesn't?  I can totally understand the 5.56 AR pistol, I can understand the 9mm AR SBR/carbine, but as for the 9mm AR pistol, what's the point?

PS  It looks cool and I'm jealous.

There doesn't have to be a point to it.....It's different and I wanted to do it.....  AND It does look cool...........

That thing's way cool! I've never seen anything like it.  Although, personally, I think that thing is just begging to be SBRed...

At least he admits that he doesn't need a reason, and that most guns are because we just want one.  Zombies beware....we're still thinking of you with each purchase.

I wonder if that upper would work with an oly .45 barrel/ejector setup?
