So before we get started what bolts are you guys running in your 6.5 Creedmoor's since the stock DPMS firing pin hole size will show premature pressure signs. I was looking at the JP and the fulton armory which both run a smaller diameter firing pin hole.

But lets get right into the new build !

So for hand guard I will be going with the SLR solo
Mega Maten set
SD-E trigger
PRS blah blah and the rest of the boring normal stuff

But here is the business side. 24" heavy contour 6.5 creedmoor.
heavy contour is on the left and a lighter contoured 20" on the left.

The barrels look like gigantic drill bits.

They look awesome.  What length gas systems on each?

They are both Rifle Length this is a little project with Lilja rifle barrels. There is a 18" and 20" that are .750 at the gas block the 24" is .936 at the block if any of their previous works stays true these should be some rather fun barrels to really get out there.

I really like the Mega MA-Ten set.  Can't go wrong with Lilja barrels.  Looking forward to the outcome.

Has anyone used a fulton armory HP bolt or JP I know JP makes amazing products is it worth the extra coin for the JP or would the fulton get the job done.

I have the JP bolt after having blown primers on a DPMS bolt. It works great. My buddy also has a 6.5 built by Fulton. He seems to show a little more pressure signs than the JP, but nothing scary.

You can't go wrong with JP.  Simply fantastic products.

Yeah JP has such a good rep its hard to ignore. I've so many stories about timing issues so hopefully the ADJ gas block just takes care of all that. The hardest part will be waiting for my Thunder Beast Ultra 9 CB

I'm really curious to learn how each barrel treats the brass given the pressure curve of the Creedmoor.  I suspect that with the 24" you'll see some slight ejector swipes on the brass, like I do with mine, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the 20" runs more smoothly with the shorter dwell time.

^ Yeah I'm hoping a little lighter than 140 gr bullet a heavy buffer combo will help the issue.
