what does the normal 6.8 spc look like compared to 6.8 spc II

It's the chamber that is different, not the ammo.

Although Remington ammo uses large rifle primers and the rest(SSA, Hornady) use small rifle primers.

Exactly the same. the difference is in the throat of the chamber not where the cartridge sits.
