I received my latest upper build from RMW Xtreme and Ron did a great job. As most of you know Ron builds great DI AR-15 uppers, I asked him if he would build me an AR-10 upper in 6.5 Creedmoor and he said he would; I am glad to say it turned out GREAT I have only had a chance to run 40 rounds of 120gr ammo thru it and got a basic sight in on the scope and was able to hit 8" steel @ 400 yds. I will be shooting some 140gr bullets next trip out that will do better with the 1-8 twist and will post results and groups.
Functioning is 100%.
The build;
Armilite flattop reciever and complete carrier.
Armilite FF forearm.
1-8 twist 24" stainless barrel.
Scope is an 8-32 Truglo.

IF/When I get into a AR-10 Platform it will be either a .260 Remington or 6.5mm Creedmore caliber.

Great rifle set-up, good luck w/ it. Should be a real winner.

Nice! I want a 260 so bad! I have a DPMS lower though.
What barrels does he use?

6.5 CM is the way to go in an AR rifle.

OP, what are the barrel dimensions:
1) under the handguard {ARMALITE FFHGs are my favorite}
2  at the gas block
3) from gas block to muzzle {looks the same as at the gas block}

Very nice, sir.

If I remember correctly
Under handguard is .875
GB is .750
GB to muzzle is .750

I wanted a mid weightish upper and it balances well and not bad to shoot off hand.

I use McGowan steel.
I have never been a big fan of the AR10s but the 6.5 in this frame was like shooting a 22

I got a chance to run some 140gr AMAX bullets thru it and almost forgot to shoot for a group, (too busy shooting steel @ 400 and 500yds) but here are the last 3 rounds @ 100yds. (it is about a 1/2" group)

It functioned 100%, no feeding or extraction issues @ all I also made the mistake of letting my father shoot it and will now have to build him one soon.
