Gonna build a 24' Grendel and wondering if the ss15 handguard was a good choice.  Like the looks and the FDE color.  Any help or opinions would be helpful.   THANKS

I have the SS15 on my Beowulf. My only issue is that the retaining screw hole stripped out, but it is still solid with now hint of play.

Here a photo of a couple Troy TRX Extreme's which I would HIGHLY recommend and look into if you arent dead set on MI, the top one is the new 15"

Mako SSR25 stock, I would highly recommend it very lightweight and sturdy with alot of nice features.

This is the best rail system out there. I have installed 5 so far. I bought into the hype a year or so ago and purchased a Troy MRF rail and it is junk. The threads strip easy and the whole setup has a lot of play. The MI rail has 0 play.

In this pic you can see the Troy rail on the bottom falling apart from being shot 30-40 rounds...

This rifle gets beat to $hiiiiiiiiiit, whether its being banged around and thrown in the truck, or taken for a hike up a mountain. I have a sling attachment on the end and the rifle's weight is usually carried around from the very end of the rail. It gets used a lot and still needs no adjustment.

I'm not trying to bash Troy stuff, they have a strong following and it must be for a reason. But the one item I've purchased from them fell apart and you've got to handle it like a newborn kitten. The MI is a lot less expensive and is a superior product.

Great looking rifle.  Looks like you are putting it to good use.  Tell us a little about your build.

Its a BM upper and lower, MI rails, generic A2 stock, Harris bipod, Colt 24" Hbar 1/9 bbl, DPMS platform grip, Millet TRS scope.
The other one is a Spike's tactical, 16" bbl, Troy 13" rail, RRA parts kit, Eotech and Eotech Gen 2 3x magnifier.

The build in progress is a Noveske lower, LAR grizzly upper, 7.5" Hbar bbl, MI 7" rail, Spike's BCG... just waiting on the paperwork to be finished.

I'm seeing more and more grendels with the 15" SS MI tube.  I sure like mine.
