thinking of a trijicon tr-24 in green on a larue mount.  any other quality options in the $800 range for mount and scope combined?  my reasoning for the trijicon is the tritium and fiber optic over anything electrical.

Nothing out there with those options.  That's why everybody buys them.

Certainly wouldn't kick a TR-24 out of bed.

How long is the barrel?

10-12" carbine
14-16" mid

I'd go midlength.  I have an "intermediate" and carbine upper, the intermediate I've never had a problem with and it shoots extremely well.

after doing some reading, i have decided on the 3-9x40 green reticle w/ mil dot as it is the same weight as the 1-4x24 setup.
