Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - ar10/ar15 buttstock compatibility?

If i have an a2 buttstock and buffer tube from an ar15 will they fit on an ar10 lower receiver?  I'm doing an ar10 build and would like to save a few dollars if i can.

disregard ..... i went to the armalite website and saw that the order numbers were the same so those parts are interchangable.   it was also interesting for  me to find out that about 80% of the lower parts are.

The buffer tube will fit fine, but you'll need an AR10 buffer.  AR15 buffers are too long, and the bolt will not open far enough to chamber a round.
