Checking to see if there is any interest in rod guides for the SOCOM.  We modeled it from the .223 guide made from Delron.  If there is enough interest I will figure out how to post pictures.

They will be $27.00 + shipping.

I will let you know that they are not as perfect as the the .223 guide I got from Sinclair but it works and comes witha slovent port.  It is 12" long.

Send an IM and I can email pics.

Ok guys.

We ordered the rod material this morning and should have it by Wednesday.  I am making a list of everyone that wants one and will IM each of you by the end of this weekend.

Thanks

Will it work on a 50 Beowulf?

Got mine today, just after I finished cleaning my pistols and was getting ready to close up for the day!  Well made, no flash.

Tom

ETA:  I had to modify my rod guide as it worked well with my upper that is built on a USGI style A3 upper reciever, but would NOT fit in my upper that I got in the last Group Purchase built on a DPMS A3 style thick walled Lo Pro.  I chucked it into my lathe and removed about .006 and now it works fine in both uppers.  I'm not sure if I just got a tight GP upper, but it's always worked 100% with the DPMS carrier that it came with for 1.5k rounds and has worked fine for the last 1.5is k rounds with a Colt M16 carrier.

I never would have thought that there would be that much of a tolerance difference in the bore of an upper reciever, and I may just have one that is on the tight side.  No big issue for me.

Not with a .50 cal jag.  I received an email asking the same question.  I don't own a Beowulf and wouldn't attempt one without being able to fit it to the chamber.  With a straight wall case I don't think you could machine the chamber end and have enough material left.

I got mine Thursday and a warning Friday that it might not fit well in my Lo-Pro upper.  He was correct.  Very tight and plastic was shaved off when I tried to put it in.  A hundred or so trips in and out and enough plastic was shaved off that it would go in OK and after dressing it down with 150/400 gritt wet/dry it now fits as fine as frog's hair.  Thanks for the heads up because that would have been a unpleasant surprise when getting ready to clean.
This little tool is great and I only wish someone could lend you a DPMS LR.308 upper so you could make a rod guide for the .500 Phantom, which as you probably know is a bottle neck round unlike the .50 Beowulf, more like an enlarged version of the .458 SOCOM.
Thanks again for both the tool and the heads up.
