Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 308 Lowers?

I have looked around for 308 lowers and what I have been seeing is prices in the $300.00's Is this common for all available? Is there a place to get them any cheaper? Not looking for inferrior quality, just trying to find out why the gap in price between the 308 lowers and AR15 lowers. Thanks.

the dpms lowers $400 are milled, not forged like a 15 lower.  the armalites are forged though, eagles run $249.
