I am looking for a low-profile gas block, .750 dia, for a 308 (DPMS). Will any 5.56 block work?

I have the 18" bull bbl that came with the HUGE gas manifold 0.936"ID.  I just picked up a railed low profile block from Midway which is labeled AR15 and it works great!  Gas port and screws are all in the same location, .223 or .308 samey-same.
