I'm just trying to figure out how to put on the thread prtoector for my 458 upper.  Do i need a washer, if so, what kind, and how tight should I screw on the thread protector?  (This is an upper from the GB that finished like 6 months ago.  I'm trying to figure this out so I might be able to finally shoot it this weekend while I am home from Cali).

Just screw it on finger tight

Never had any trouble with mine

I am assuming that you got it from Marty.

Yep, it's from Marty.  Just want to be 100% sure before I fire it.

Just hand tight, make sure the relief cut goes toward the chamber end.  (If it does not screw all the way down, flip it around and see if that works.  You'll see what I mean)
