Has anyone here ever had a 16" MRP barrel cut to either 12.5 or 13.5?  Any gas issues running with and without a silencer?

This might sound like a crazy idea, but i don't really want to wait for factory short barrels to be in stock again.

Not sure what a MRP is but cut my 16" mid length to 12.5 and had to open up to next size on port. After that it runs great.
