Logged 4,595 rounds.  Colt Hbar Elite 24"

Best I could do today at 100 yards; 16X Mark4 Leupold and a Jewel trigger, 55 Nosler Ballistic Tip and Benchmark powder with Federal 205 NON-match primers.

I'm curious does your's shoot heavier bullet's well?

I ask because my brother has one and it only shoots 55s~ well. (he hasn't found anything heavier it likes anyways)

On calm days we've shot full coke cans at 450 with it.

Edited to add that I use a JP adjustable gasblock and Tubb CS recoil spring and the Tubb carrier weight system as well to allow the heavier loads to function smoothly.  Ejection is to the 4 o'clock position and brass is not beaten up by these alterations.  FYI; Winchester brass and Federal 205 primers or the Wolf small rifle magnum primers have given me the best results in consistency as well. Both the above target in the OP and this were with thrown charges from a Redding BR3 measure.  I throw ten charges to get my average charge weight for the loads shown.  I control the headspace of the sized brass to apporximately -.002" and neck tension using the Redding F/L bushing dies at .002"  Hope that helps.

Yes this rifle also shoots heavies as well.  Either 69's or 77's.  Last week I was shooting the 77's with my favorite load of IMR 8208 XBR;

What's wrong, not hitting the thumbtack dead-center in the middle?

Nice shooting.

Nice group.  I'm playing with Benchmark right now with 52 grain Bergers and SMK's and a new match grade Wylde 1:8  barrel.  Those Nosler BT's are performing well for you.

The 55 grain 6mm Nosler BT's are great performers, too.  Superb accuracy for a varmint type bullet.  Thanks for sharing.

Nice group.

Although match primers are just primers that are made by a seasoned employee who knows what they are doing. At least, thats what CCI bench rest primers are.

Other than that, they are just the same.

Do it four more times in a day and give LaRue some competition in the MOAAD challenge.
