I have a 16" barrel and mid length gas system. What buffer and spring set up would y'all recommend. I would like to beef up the spring and buffer if possible. Thanks.

H or H2 buffer with a standard carbine spring.  If you want longer spring life you can get a spring from Damage Industries or Sprinco.

This. I run my BCM 16" middys w/an H2 buffer & Wolff std power spring and they're 100% w/everything from weak PMC Bronze .223 to full power 5.56.

Vltor a5. Uses a rifle spring and a 5.3oz buffer standard. Accomplishes both of your goals.

I am running a Tubb’s CS Flatwire spring and a H2 buffer with a 16” mid-length.

I run a BCM 16" midlength and after trying many different combinations I have found that an H2 buffer with a Springco Tactical Springs Enhanced power spring to be the best combination.

Spikes H2 and a Vltor standard buffer/spring.

Sprinco white, 1oz buffer, adjustable gas block. I used to have the Tubb too. It's too scratchy for me. It does not have rounded edges. This aids in better weight on bolt close but ehh, not worth it.

Here's some good info I documented from Tubb's video:

A2 (old) - 7.6lb closed, 14.5lb open
A2 (new) - 9.1lb closed, 16.7lb open
Tubb Flatwire - 10.5lb closed, 16.3lb open
Tubb .308 Flatwire - 13lb closed, 16.7lb open
SpringCo (standard) - 8.3lb closed, 16.3lb open
SpringCo (extra) - 10.5lb closed, 18.4lb open
SpringCo (increased) - 13.9lb closed, 24.8lb open

You don't use that setup togather. Vltor buffers go in the vltor A5.
