to be honest, forged mil spec lowers tend to be a dime a dozen, and their quality is all about equal...but that said, aero precision is a great company

p.s. go for the ghost gun limited edition, it makes fun of anti gun politicions

Done several builds with AP lowers and uppers.

They're GTG.

They're fine, but Aero is still on my "do not buy" list after their flagrant price gouging during the last buying panic.

Yup. GTG.

Here's my Aero STS lower:

This.

"Our website is broken, it'll be back up in 30 mins and the price will go up $50, and hell it might go down again three hours after that!"

Friend has a Aero, I have a Tactical Machining. I am defiantly more impress with the TM.

I think they are great. And it's not price gouging to increase price when there is increased demand. It's simply good business.

I have an aero lower and cop monolithic upper that I really like. I am no expert on how to tell if one lower is better than the other. The cmmg lpk fit perfectly and finish looks good to me

Who do you buy from?  That list must be pretty small after last year.

You do realize that cost of 7075 and 6061 aluminum spiked for several months. Small manufacturers and new ones were forced to raise prices to compensate. Larger companies with more saved money or investors were able to ride out the high prices off of previous income or overcharges in their price built as protection for material fluctuations, but aero before charged next to nothing for their items and were a relatively new company. They may have been able to ride out the rush but why risk your company? The other thing to consider is the way companies plan to o turn a profit. New stand ups normally have a decade long plan to pay off expensive CNCs and structures. If ARs had been banned they may have went bankrupt which could have been another reason for raising price. Being blindly bitter to a company without understanding the reasons is silly, and putting up that they were price gouging and soiling their name for a prospective buyer is wrong just the same.

There are a few companies that kept pricing during the panic. My problem is how Aero implemented the price increase, by saying there website had technical difficulties and needed to go down for repairs only to come back with a large price increase...two times.

Pmags drop free from the Aero lower I just built for my new build. I've seen a bcm jack carbine that pmags wouldn't drop free from.

Most lower manufacturers don't sell direct, so any gouging wasn't done by them.

The way Aero handled things was extremely unethical.  I could rehash the whole thing, but I'm sure there are still threads about it.  I don't boycott without good reason, but Aero earned it.
