Just curious if anyone still makes uppers and/or complete rifles that use 1:9 twist rates??

I think some of the RRA rifles still have 1:9. Any others?

Seems like everyone and their brother bought a ticket on the 1:7 train

Yes, almost every major manufacturer. It is the most popular rate for the commercial market.

In my experience 1/9 twist is still the most common barrel out there.

Pretty sure everybody bought onto the 1/9. It is more difficult to find a 1/7 in a profile that you like.

Thanks. Seems most of the complete rifles (high end 'boutique' rifles) have been looking at (DD Noveske of course, etc) don't offer anything BUT 1:7. I understand the Noveske SS. It's designed for accuracy (w/ heavier rounds). 1:7 makes sense there. I don't understand some others though who make 'thumper' go-to type ARs like DD offering nothing BUT 1:7.

IIRC the military moved to the 1:7 to stabilize the LONG and heavy M855. I have a 1:7 on my 20" for long range shooting. 1:8 and 1:9 on same barrels for varmet shooting. Yes the high end barrels probably will have a 1:7 due to the fact that they are bought to use heavier bullets at longer distances. I'm not going to spend $$$$ on a barrel to shoot paper at 100yds
