will it cover the gas block on a middy barrel?

I don't have any experience with mid-lengths, but a 9" just barely covers the gas block on a carbine, so I am guessing it would take an 11" to cover it on a mid.  I feel certain someone will give you a more definitive answer as mid-lengths seem to be all the rage.

I have a 10 incher in my 14.5 in. midlength and it comes to right here.
