So I just bought another 6920 this one is for my battle buddy/wifey (She's the best and deserves it) I have showed her the different mod options and she can't decide on which stock to buy. What stock do you have on your wife's AR?

I'd go with the Magpul CTR.  If your wife had long hair, the friction lock may keep her from getting it caught in the stock and giving her a tug when she pulls away.

SOPMOD. She deserves the best.

I have a Modstock and an MOE.  My wife finds the MOE much more comfortable because of the rubber butt pad.

I went with a Sully Stock.

It happens to be just the right length.

Its extra weight brings the balance point back.

It's a fixed stock; so, no worries about hair getting caught in extra moving parts/pinch points.

Does she shoot NTCH?
How many clicks out does she run the stock?
Would weight in the back (of the stock! *grin*) help out the handling for her?

If she shoots NTCH, runs the stock at least 3 clicks out, and wants to balance out the 'bine. Look at the UBR.
If she shoots heads up at the rear of the stock and wants weight to balance . Look at SOPMOD or ACR.
If she doesn't want any additional weight but wants a solid stock, CTR.

the a1 stock is nearly perfect for most woman shooters.

measure leanth of pull by placing the butt in the crook of the elbow the finger tip should reach the trigger if it cannot the stock is too long

Just installed a Vltor GenI Modstock on my daughter's LE6920. So far she likes it a lot

It fits her very well and is far more comfortable for her than the OEM Colt stock.

Just put a Vltor IMOD on my 6920 and I love it.  Very tight fit, adequate storage space, and comfortable cheek weld.  Comfort is a subjective term however, so if she can try one before you buy it, that would be ideal.

CTR due to weight

She liked my imod so much she made it hers.

Why not let her look and pick it herself?  She may think one is prettier than the other.

IMod or Emod would be my choice.......CTR or MOE if she isn't the strongest. For my wife (short/small/weaker) I would give her the lightest midlength I could, my sister is taller and stronger and would get an IMod/EMod. All depends on your wifes build and strength.

I wouldn't worry about hair as I would tell any woman or long haired guy to have their hair up when shooting if possible....hair in your eyes or caught in the moving bolt or stock isn't an ideal situation.

Isn't it funny how that works?

Between my wife and now my daughter, "my" gun collection has been completely gutted

I wouldn't have it any other way though.

CTR ....simple, solid and good looks.   Just like me

Something with a rubber buttpad! Not so much for recoil, but more for comfort. Tank top + aggressive butt plate checkering = unhappy female shooter. Heck, I don't even like the way my M4 stock feels through a wife beater. I'm going to replace with an Imod as soon as funds allow. My other guns have CTRs.

Why has nobody commented that this thread is useless without pics?

My wife prefers a SOPMOD with her extensive & expensive dental work.

Magpul CTR with optional 0.7" enhanced rubber butt-pad on my Colt 6721

My wife doesn't want her own AR yet but with the several different stocks that I have her favorite to use is my Magpul CTR with the optional enhanced rubber butt-pad.

My other stocks which she doesn't prefer are Vltor EMOD, Modstock, MOE, Colt/ LMT M4, and fixed A2, out of these my favorite is my EMOD.

If my wife is going to have an AR for herself she would probably like a lightweight carbine with the CTR version stock that she likes, she also had tried my M4gery LMT carbine but it was still a little too heavy for her that's why a lightweight type would probably be the better choice.

I have not tried too many stocks.  On my personal gun I went with a MOE after trying a CTR and ACS mainly because I am cheap, but the ACS is the most comfy stock I have tried so far.
