Just picked up a new Hughes Precision stripped lower at the GR Mi fun show. It's made in Indian River Michigan.

It built up nice with a DPMS LPK and a Bushmaster woodland camo rifle buttstock. The fit and finish matches my AP416 perfectly without any play what so ever.

Anyone else ever use one of these for a build?

I have one and have had it engraved, put a post ban Bushmaster A2 upper on it and it fit with just a very tiny amount of play (not enough to worry about but I had a accu wedge laying around that was given to me and took out the play).  I really like it and it went together nicely.  Price was right from my engraver (also the dealer I brought it from).  I know in the pics for the completed rifle the upper is a different color from the lower, but in person the difference is not detectable in normal sun light.

$300 Post Ban Bushmaster upper (HBAR)
Daniel Defense M16 bolt/bolt carrier
RAA 2 stage trigger (not shown in the photos as I used a trigger and hammer I had in the spare parts bin at first)
Standard A2 stock
Vietnam era issued cotton sling
(and yes that 20 round mag is an original Colt)

Great shooting combo with the total coming to just a bit over $700.  I built over this last summer.

I have one sitting in the safe (90% complete lower)

I saw them a while back a loved the rollmark.  I won the one I have over the summer.  It will eventually be finished and mated with an upper, but I must get some other stuff done first.  I threw my stripped MUR on it snd it looks and feels great.
