The whole point of the free float rail is that is does not touch anything else, improving accuracy.
ETA: Or is it the omega rail? Either case, no I don't think there is anything to cover up the gap. |

stuff a sock in it and seal with duct tape. you'll be GTG.

I suppose you could take off your front sight base and glue a handguard cap onto the back of it (if there's enough clearance between the FSB and the rail.
