I'm looking at the MCTAR-20 FF rail and since it since flush with the upper will this create a problem from vibrations? heat? can the rail hurt the upper?

I'm assuming you talking about it being "monlithic." To answer your question in short, no.

The monolithic HG's look great, and you don't have a gap to bridge. Buy em' already.

I've got them on two of mine and except for the weight, they a good to go. I have the 1st gen. I belive they are lighter now.

I just bought that same rail after not hearing a single bad thing about it.  Sitting in the box waiting for my FUG to arrive before I install it.
