I stocked up on a bunch of surplus/reject M855 ammo before finding out that my 24" 1x9 varmint upper only likes heavier match grade ammo. It is bad enough that my wife has expensive tastes
 What is the best upper for plinking with surp ammo? Ideally, I would like to find a used one on the exchange. Maybe a fun tacticool M4gery. |

i wouldn't really risk blowing up any of my guns, but if you want, buy a cheap upper. you can buy a delton upper right now for like $350 or something. blast all that ammo through there.

Bushmaster 14.5 and 16" uppers I own will gobble up anything you feed them. I would recommend one of them.

Why don't you just sell it and buy some Black Hills or some other Match ammo. Depending on what you paid for it you might be able to make a couple dollars in todays market.
