Anyone seen these yet? I just got some in where I work last week. The top of the tube is marked with white numbers that you can see through the hole in the top of the stock. They indicate what position the stock is in. 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5! I swear I read a thread last year some time suggesting they do this. I thought even then it was a cool idea. Doesnt do a dang thing to help the stock, but its just one more instance of making use of otherwise wasted space. Right on! If no one puts up pictures of this before tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow night.

I just received one from Jtac that was like that... Its been quite awhile since I bought my first Vltor, and wasn't sure how long they had been marking them like that. I usually run my stock one notch from fully open, so it makes it a little easier to quickly deploy the stock to the desired length.

Good idea, now if they'd only put markings of a ruler on the side so you can measure the length of fish you caught

The Vltor tube is mil-spec and compatible with the LMT SOPMOD buttstock right?

Sure is. Also with the Stag stocks. Great fit.

Sounds useless to me, but I still far prefer Vltor to Stag for tubes as the Vltor tubes have a smooth surface finish.

I just hope the markings hold up to use, the numbers are not engraved or recessed into the metal...

I suggested this exact thingto Eric about 2.5 years ago when I was trying to push our agency into getting adjustable shotgun stocks. Works very well for the newbie learning about stock positioning.

Glad to see it is being implemented by someone.

I like how everyone takes credit for it.

I think it's a great idea for those that transport their firearms with the stock collapsed but like to run it in a repeatable position.

Has vltor removed the rattle they had in the stocks yet. Its been over a year since I last purchsed one. That stock is not that bad. The first two I had were very bad on rattle.

Overall they are not a bad stock. Just wish they did not rattle so much. The new markings are not a bad idea. Hopefully other makers will run with the same idea and mark theirs.

The new one is much tighter than the older black one, and has very little if any rattle to it. I really like the Vltor stocks, but the rattle with the black one was a little annoying.

Vltor has a nice tube, but I need a 6-position tube for the length... No rattle in mine.
