The MI rails mount to the barrel nut. For instance, if you have a flash suppressor that is perm. attached, you have to cut the delta ring off. Its easy because its alumninum.
After that they mount to the barrel nut. I have built and sold quiet a few of these uppers and like them a good bit. heres a pic of a 10.5" LMT shortie |

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a Bushy 14.5" with perm attached Phantom. I like the continual rail and the Free float. Any problems with the mounting loosening up?

I haven't seen one loosen yet. The rails come new with a small tube of thread locker compound. A small dab on they screws and your set

One more question. How does the barrel free float if the front of the fore arm is against the plate on the front sight block?
