I have a 11.5" bbl on a pistol build that I built about a year ago, and I was thinking about making it into a rifle.  I don't care to go through the trouble of a SBR, but I'd like to keep it as short as possible.  I don't like the XM 5.5" fake moderator.  So does anyone have any ideas as how to keep it at a 16" with out changing bbls.  I will if that's what I decide, but for right now I entertaining other ideas.  Does anyone make a longer "Levang" compensator?

Someone needs to step up and make a 5.5" XM177E2 moderator (w/integrated grenade ring)
to replace those silly looking factory pin jobs.

A pistol can be turned into a rifle, but a rifle can not be turned into a pistol.
For more info on that subject, ck the AR Pistol section.

Why not just go with 16" of useful barrel?

This would only be for "retro" crowd that didn't want to go through any ATF hoops to
get an XM177E2 up and running...12.5" barrels aren't that common...11.5" ones are.

just playing with ideas!
