Why are they all stainless? Wife is going to get me a new upper. I want a 20 or 24" bull/ varmint.

I do not want stainless. I know I 'could' take it off and get it finished...But why is there no market for this NIB?

I also had the model one and it is HEAVY.  Bushmaster sells a varminter package that has a black fluted barrel.  Try their web site they might have just the barrel or upper for sale.

Why not use one of the commercially avilable Stainless Blackening Solutions like this:                              Blackening Soltuion For Stainless

You simply immerse the Barrel in the solution and wait.

Hope this helps,
John
