ALL THE HEAT SHIELD DOES IS PREVENT THE RADIATION OF HEAT FROM THE BARREL AND GAS TUBE TO THE SUPPORT HAND. IT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH HEAT TRANSFER (INCREASE) VIA CONDUCTION AND ACTUALLY DECREASES HEAT TRANSFER (LOSS) VIA CONVECTION.
3-GUN STAGES USUALLY DO NOT EXCEED A COUPLE OF MAGS, BUT THE SHOOTING IS PRETTY FAST AND FURIOUS. HOWEVER, THE SHOOTING IS OVER LONG BEFORE ANY SIGNIFICANT HEAT TRANSFER VIA CONDUCTION CAN TAKE PLACE. FOLKS THEREFORE HAVE NO HEAT RELATED ISSUES WITH THESE FORENDS IN 3-GUN.
