i'm having a hard time finding a stripped barrel. all i want is a 16 inch tube with threads on the end for a suppresser. any advice is welcome.

Com'on, you're not giving us all the details. "A 16 inch tube with threads" is a pretty vague description.

So this is for a bolt action project then? What are you going to do for a chamber and barrel extension or are you custom building something?  Most any barrel manufaturer will sell rifled barrel blanks you can thread the end of.  You will recieve just the tube (up to 40" long) which will be rifled and you can cut and thread to your hearts content.  Are you familiar with chambering AR barrels?  Its a bit different than bolt guns where you can take a "tube" and cut the chamber in the end.
