Nope, this is NOT the same one that is "ribbed for your pleasure" and holds AA batteries in the end.  It's a bit more like the side-saddle design, but it's the whole stock, and holds 4 CR123 batteries, accessible from either side:

It has the QD swivel holes which is a step in the right direction I suppose.
