Yes, I used KKF during the ban to install a A2 FFH and turn down a barrel to M4 configuration. Kurt does AWESOME work but be ready for a wait. If things haven’t changed since then the average wait was 2-3 months.

I believe Kurt had some health issues a while back which probably contributed to extended wait times, but again he is one friggen AWESOME smith!

He's building me a 1/16twist 10.5inch .22lr M261 barrel right now.

he threaded a barrel for me and profiled it down from HBAR to Govt lightweight.  Good tooling marks and excellent re-parkerizing of the barrel.  He's good!

Kurt is a long time member here and there have been many, many people who have used his services.

I've never have, but I personally know two people who have and I've seen the work he's done for them. They have no qualms recommending Kurt. But with success comes longer waits.

Kurt has worked on several of my ARs and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again (he does GREAT work IMO), but don't even consider him if you are impatient or in a hurry (as has already been mentioned).  To me it was worth the wait but YMMV.

He did the threading & MBs on both of these 7.62x39mm ARS (sorry the close-up isn't clearer, but it was very clean work)...

... and lightened the barrel under the HGs and added his 9mm Tac-Brake on this Oly 9mm...

... and he recently shortened a ban-era Colt 20" HBAR I had lying around collecting dust to 18" and threaded it for me, but I haven't finished that project yet or taken any pics.

Great guy and does awesome work.  I've owned several of his muzzle brakes and he has reprofiled and threaded a couple barrels for me.

I didn't have him do it directly (got the upper third hand) but he created my dissy from a Colt A2 Govt upper sometime during the ban. Unlike most dissy's this one has the MB welded directly in front of the FSB, yet it still works 100% with 55gr commercial loads and 5.56 thanks to Kurt's gas port adjustment. There is a part of me who wants to smack who the original owner was for not having Kurt cut it to a normal 16". I bet it would work 100% with wolf then.

I have used him for some non-AR work.  He threaded a 10/22 barrel, made a threaded barrel extension for a Beretta 92 .22LR practice kit, and threaded/relocated front sight on a Browning Buckmark pistol.  Work on all 3 was top notch.  As a couple of others have posted, he won't get to it tomorrow, but when you get it back, you will be very well satisfied!

I sent in my Bushmaster 14.5" HBAR with AK break upper 5 years ago during the ban for a 1.5" bird cage style muzzle break install and a reprofiling to the M4 profile. It turned out EXCELLENT and he restamped the barrel markings on it along with custom "ALIEN" stamp on it too. Turn around time then was about 3 weeks. I'm not sure how he is doing now, but my experience 5 years ago was very positive.

I had him thread two barrels and flute one.  Awesome work, good price, reasonable turn around time.

Another +1. I had him do about 10 M4 barrels that were 14.5" and had his MB added to make them 16" during the ban. Great work. Turnaround time was less than 6 weeks.

I have owned several of Kurts products over the years and each one was absolutely flawless.
