Bought a COLT Sporter Lightweight lower stamped 7.62x39 back during the ban.  Paid $900 for it because I was dumb.  What would it be worth today?  Excellent shape

someone had 3 post ban RRA lowers for one colt preban the other day. search the GD for it. Build 3 rifles with one lower.

I've been looking for a 7.62x39 lower ....  Let me know what you want for it ....  I'm thinking about 1/2 of what you paid for it ....

For what it's worth, I just paid $775 for a complete rifle with same lower.  Upper is A3 with 20" 5.56 HBAR 1 in 9 w/ compensator , plus soft case and 4 30 rounders (1 new) all with green followers.  It was my xmas present to myself. :)

We made the deal on the lower ....

I have spoken with about 6 seperate individuals ..  Mogwa was the first that would sell a complete lower seperate from an upper .. actually .. he only had the lower ....  The lowers are definitely rarer than the uppers since the uppers were available from Colt seperately ...

I should have the lower in next week ... XMAS present to myself!

Good luck with those 30 RD mags ... if they look like standard .223 mags they probably will not function very well.  So far I have had good luck with MWG mags .. (DPMS uses these with their 7.62x39 uppers) ... Also the USA Magazine Frankmags work well ....

Here is a picture of the upper ... waiting for the lower ....

30 rounders are Okay Industries.  I've got some 20 rounders, 4 Simmonds + 1 Colt, from my Army days.

Nice collection.... I like the green furniture.  I'm not sure where I'm going to start on this one yet, prolly collapsible stock first and a lighter barrel.   The HBAR is a tad on the heavy side.

Does anyone actually run these with 7.62x39 uppers?

Pretty sure all the 7.62x39 barrels are HBAR ... Colt offered them in both 20" and 16" .... as does DPMS and others ....

Are the 30 RD Okay mags stamped 7.62x39?  Does the follower look any different than the .223 ?

30 Rd Mags have Cage Code of 33710 and various dates of manufacture.  No caliber stamp on the floorplate.  5.56 follower.  Upper is 5.56 not 7.62.   I haven't looked up the proofs yet on the upper to determine the manufacturer, assuming that's possible.

Duh ....  Sorry .... I didn't realize you had a 5.56 upper on the 7.62 lower ...

My problem was that I had a Colt 7.62 upper and wanted a matching lower for it ....
