What information is there on these?  Do they come in a mid-length?  Will they ever be available on the civi market?  Does anyone have any pics.

KevinB and SMGLee have pics of their midlength and carbine length URX II's respectively.  Search for them.

As for availability for the civilian market, do not count on it anytime soon.

If you want a rail similar to the URX, go with a Troy, Samson, or one of the newer Daniel Defense models.

Thanks Lumpy.

I'm familiar with the Troy, Samson and DD rails.  I would want a URX II just as a collector piece.

A middie with a URX II, KAC flip-up front sight/gas block, and their new rear BUIS they might produce, on a KAC upper and lower would be a great addition to a collection.

...and the BRD worsens daily...

i had the pleasure of shooting smglee's urxII, compared to my own m4gery with rasII, kac foregrip, panels, sling and aimpoint with arms mount. smglee's urxII was lighter un weight which surprised smglee when i told him.  smglee's unit which had  a surefire 951xm, td foregrip, kac rail panels, aimpoint/larue mount weighted less than my own.  but barrel lenght could been a factor in wieght i might think. mine 16 inch, smglee 14.5

IIRC, KevinB's was a modified rifle length URX.  SMGLee's looks to be otherwise.

Now if you throw Altav's in the mix, you will have all THREE URX's I've ever seen...

Spooky
