Anybody have a Magpul trigger guard?  Do they install just alike a standard trigger guard?

Probably one of the pre-production models MagPul sent out to be "beta-tested" so to speak.

Looks great by the way.

Here's my Magpul trigger guard and MIAD grip on my Colt 6721 M4gery.

The Magpul trigger guard's rear roll pin installs the same way but the front is a set screw, not the push pin type like a standard trigger guard.

I thought the Mag-pul trigger guard was a waste of $15 (dealer price at Brownells), until I tried one.  It is vastly more comfortble than the normal flat one plus Gapper and it looks a lot better also.  After I wasted the first $15 I decided I needed to waste $60 more.

They now live on two of my ARs. I really like them. If you wear gloves, or live in a climate where you may wear gloves to shoot, they are a must.

Sending shizzle to Blighty is a such a waste. You guys slap them onto BOLT ACTION ARs.....

The Magpul trigger guard is the best thing since sliced bread. I have one installed on all my AR's, in matter of fact I just ordered another from Bower's Tactical (free shipping by the way) on Friday. I did run into a small problem when using it in conjuction with a Tango Down pistol grip. The gapper like extension on the grip was preventing it (the pistol grip) from properly seating against the receiver. Once torqued down, the extension would dig into my middle finger. I removed the extension from the Tango Down and polished out the plastic to a factory smooth like finish.

Pic of modified Tango Down w/Magpul trigger guard:

The only difference is the front "pin" is fastened / tightened via an allen screw. Not a ball and pin detent like what standard trigger guards have.

Those trigger guards look pretty slick. I may just have to put one on the next build.

I like and use the MIAD piece with the trigger guard, despite the fact that I couldnt get the front pin holes to line up, so they aren't pinned. Its still very strong and I havent felt the need to modify it.

The Magpul trigger guard and the PRI military big latch are both such "no brainer" advancements that I can't beleive it took so many years for someone to develope them.

Both are "standard" on my ARs

I paid the full $19.95 for mine.

I love it so much I will now put one on all future builds/rifles except for retro guns.
