Bushmaster makes a nice 16" lightweight carbine barrel. Same profile as the SP1 carbine barrel.
I don't know of anybody making a 20" lightweight rifle barrel. |

Thank You for the input. I know the Bushmaster and already ordered it. ;)
I am looking for a civil only barrel. Maybe a remake or a Colt barrel with a certificate of civil manufacturing. I am not allowed to put a military used barrel on my Lowers. A civil made copy isn´t forbidden. Don´t ask---stupid german gun laws. Best Regards willo |

Buy a govt contour 20" and have it profiled after the gas block

Your welcome, I can recommend the bushy 1/7 and 1/9 twist 20" govt barrel from experience. Even when not free-floated they are great shooters, please post pics if you decide to turn down a govt barrel.

I had the same thought, and it might be the best way. For the most part Colt did not mark their barrels for civilian use any differently than the ones they made for government use. Thus your bureaucrats could make a case that all (or any) Colt barrels were made for military use. |
