I think I am having some issues with the installation of my RAS II.

1) The lower rail is not parallel to the upper rail because the lower section only touches the upper half at the front. There is a gap at the rear. The delta ring does slip over the rear edge slightly as described in the instructions and the barrel nut clamp works. How can I get the lower part to seat correctly?

2) Following the advice of coldblue, I used the short arm of the wrench to prevent from over-torquing the clamp screws. Unfortunately, the screws do not go all the way and stick up somewhat. Should I just go ahead and screw them in all the way or just leave them? What type of damage can occur?
