Obviously I can't buy one of those. I'm looking for a source for the upper half, or parts to get as close as I can. The Match Target models are close, but they aren't chrome-lined and I'd need to swap the comp for a flash hider. |

Look in the EE.
Bushmaster makes the 20" Government profile barrel, 1/7 twist. You can put one on a CMT flat top upper and you'll be close. Then add a KAC M5 RAS on the front end, and the Trijicon TA31 and you're awfully close. |

If you want a REAL Colt M16A4 upper, look here: Autoweapons.com Colt Accy's About 8 uppers down, it says A3, but i think this is what you want. |

Contact Dennis A Todd. He's a very reputable ClassIII dealer. I bought a Colt RO901 (www.colt.com/mil/M16_2.asp)upper from him (for a better price than AW) and it's awesome. Rich |

Like one of these? Only thing missing is the Lug & That can be cured! Other than that all Colt parts including a Colt Bolt/Carrier/Upper/ Ch hnd/CMP 1/7 5.56 nato marked barrel.

No problem, But good luck on your quest, The lowest price I have seen an M16A4 (Colt or FN, Not 2nd tier stuff) upper with the carry handle included is over $800 !! |

I'm not sure if it's Kosher to just post his email here, BUT if you go to Tom Bower's MG board www.subguns.com and go to the recommended dealers section. He's listed there, and recommended very highly. He's in Springfield PA and is Dr. Dennis A Todd. He's a great guy to deal with. If you're here on the east coast, he does LOTS of gunshows (so if you email him, be patient, 'cuz they're on the road alot). At the last show, he must've had at least ten PRISTINE Thompsons.

COLT makes all the M16A4s in our Armory. I believe FN only had contract for A2s and lost it for A4s and M4s, But I could be wrong They may have made some A4s. In the last 5 years I have not seen an FN M16A4, Shit loads of COLTS though! macros73 Join the Army They'll give you one. Hell Come to my Unit I give you one!  chuck |

Every A4 I've seen was an FN rig from the grunts with 3/2 and the boys from 2nd tanks out of Lejeune to include our own company from 1st ATBN... All had the KAC M5 RAS and vert grip. |

I got my Colt's M16A4 upper from Dennis Todd, don't know of another source.
BTW, both Colt's and FN have gotten contracts to supply M16A4's. |

You forgot the rails. For a true A4 you need the rail system. Add about $350 or so for the rail system. FN does make some of the A4s. |
