Some buddies and I headed out to a remote location for rifle training.   Targets were from 250  to 850 yards, depending on firing position.

You can't see the targets 'cause they're small and distant!

Here's one of the largest ones.   We had 4", 7", 10", and 12", and one full size popper.   I was able to hit the 4" with my 308 at 550 yards.

I get so jealous when guys here post pics of them shooting at places like this.  I would do anything to have somewhere like that to shoot.

We're doing final preparation for the Int'l Tactical Rifleman Championship in WY at the end of this month-- so that means half of us are practicing with bolt rifles out to about 800, and the other half are shooting AR15's out to about 400.  One of the best setups for the AR is a short 16" or  18" barrel with the 3-9 M/RT in the SPR mount.

Keeping with the wide open spaces theme. This location is also top secret even though you can drive just about any direction and find sopts like this in MT. But they wont have as many gophers as this one does.

The suppressor on my tan AR (PRI/ACOG/Magpul) is te M4-96D.  The suppressor on the other AR (Larue/Eotech) is the HALO.

I did not notice Eotech equipped rifle.  Can clearly see that it's got a HALO on it.  Since it looks like you've got experience with both which do you like better?  I'm trying to decide between the two and right now I'm leaning towards HALO because it costs less and does not use a proprietary mount (not that big a deal, I know) but I'd love to hear from actual users.

If I could go back in time to December, I would order the HALO instead of the M4-96D.  The Bilock assembly requires more maintenance than the HALO.

We have not done an accuracy comparison, however-- Repeatability is supposed to favor the bilock.
