the MP5 was a confiscated weapon we inheretted from the unit before us.  One of thier guys use to roll with it as his primary instead of his m4.  The only action it ever saw with my unit was range time.  Same with the silenced Sterlings we had.  Both were a blast to shoot.  Especially the Sterling.  It felt like shooting a pellet gun on full auto.

Sadly, after being ordered several times by higher we had to turn all confiscated weapons over to EOD to be destroyed.  Although i didn't witness the destrution first hand. -- Think there's an EOD guy running around Baghdad with an MP5 strapped to his side?

I used Blogger to post the pictures IOT link to them and they worked fine... at first.  All three are posted on the same web page but now only the M4 pic seems to show up.

Maybe someone who is a more computer savy than i can explain why sometimes the pictures show and sometimes they don't.

???

INF1CAV2 I offer free picture hosting and storage for our troops at my website Support our warriors Use as much space and bandwidth as you would like,I use a very easy Java based upload system so no FTP is needed. There are quite a few deployed ARCOM members using it.

Thank you for what you are doing.

What's the thingie on top of the RAS?  Looks like a scope or something...
Link Posted: 8/10/2005 1:16:24 PM EDT
[#30]
Not a scope.  Its actually an "Aim 2000" laser.  It has both visible and IR selector.  Haven't actually been to the range since they gave it to me so it's just a "general direction" pointer right now as its not zeroed.  Works great in briefings for pointing to a point on the map from across the room!
