I want to register an AR15 as a SBR. I intend to use this for short barrels in 22lr, 7.62x39, 9mm, etc! For my short "fun" barrel in 223, what would you folks recommend, 7" or 11.5"  Pros & Cons?
TIA,
Dave
PS Already have long barrel Ar15's, so this would just be for fun factor!

Well, 11.5" will pretty much guarantee rock solid reliability.  Shorter than that you might begin to
see some function problems and need to modify the gas system or buffer in various ways.

I would recommend you get an LMT 10.5"...........  Mine is 100% reliable out of the box and fun as hell to shoot.  However this is a fun gun, so get the one 7", 10.5", 11.5" that looks the coolest to you and buy one.

I'm getting a gas-piston 10" or less.
