anyone think it would be a good idea for the site management to host these in their Information section as a reference item?

There is little more that identifies the AR15 than the rollmarks and other markings.

Seems like a natural ..............to me at least.

I have one of these also, yours is the first I've heard of other than mine.
My serial number is in the same range as yours - what else can you tell about the origins of your gun?  Do you know if these were supposed to be patrol guns, or what?

The story I got from the guy at Hoplite - he had some of these but I acquired mine elsewhere - was that Colt made these for some LE department rifle team.

I have one of these, too - do you know anything about its origins?

AFAIK, almost all the LEO - stamped guns were carbines.  I was wondering if these were early patrol car guns or something, or if they were made for LEO rifle teams, as one story has it.

Anyone know when the links will be fixed?

Interested in looking at the Colt lower receiver roll marks.

From  kjedmondson182's posting showing the markings on an FN's carry handle. I saw the same marking (crooked triangle-like) on a Bushmaster, and a S&W AR/M4 upper this weekend at a local store.

So who's OEM forging is this?

Thanks.

Still no JOY with the links...

I could probably host the info if that is a problem... depending on data traffic.

I'm sure it is not highly hit like ammo oracle or the like...

I sure could use some of that info right now...

I'll ask here too: Is the "broken A" upper an Anchor Harvey forging?

I wasn't sure what to get for the girl who has everything but a rifle, so Anvil Arms helped. My daughter is moving out for college this fall. This receiver set is for a rifle build. I've got all the parts specced out, and she'll build it with her grandpa. It'll be a fun project for her.
