It was required before the AW ban expired, as they could not be sold to civilians during 1994-2004 becasue of the now infamous federal AWB.

You might the the Colt forum for your LE6920 birthdate.

I might, but it would be a long ways down the road. Compiling what is going to amount to 200+ images into a PDF would take a while since I only have a PDF writer, not the full version of Acrobat.

I'll be adding about 100 new images when the current batch is done. (still trying to identify many forging marks).

I can do it for you if you want. For the sake of the AR15 community

my offer remains

Another DPMS variant to add to the list. Its a A1 lower of a type I am not familiar with. I will be posting it in the AR15 forum to get more info. Clicking on the Thumbnails will give you fullsize images.

eye_spy,

Thanks very much. That is indeed a rare one.
I'm sure you are aware that Elisco tool bought all the tooling from the Original ArmaLite after they folded. Excellent pics! Will post with next update.

Those are great mag base-plate photos, XM777, but that is not the latest HK mag base plate

The latest has a rubber core bushing that runs the spine.

Here is a (poor) photo of one.

You're welcome _DR! I have wanted to send you that picture for a looooong time, but could not since I was not a member of the Forum yet.

So when I finally joined up and learned how to post pics, I uploaded them asap!

Yes i know. Its a pity that Elisco does not manufacture M16s anymore. When I saw that brand new lower from an acquaintance of mine, I immediately borrowed it and snapped a few pics!

our front page does need a bit of clean-up. But its difficult to name one of those unworthy of a tack (unless abbreviations would move to armory or something....F. it. You guys know how to deal with that stuff.)

Perhaps they could be lumped into a single reference thread.  Just a thought.

There seems to be an error in the list in regards to the Colt Model R6520.  Somewhere down the road Colt changed the model number from R6520 to AR6520.  My original blue box label indicates  Model No. R6520 and the lower receiver marking says:

AR-15 A2
GOV'T CARBINE
CAL. .223
SER GC014***

The photo in the list for the R6520 says:

COLT
CARBINE tm
CAL. .223
SER CC001***
