I just ordered a pr. with a smooth texture and was just curious to hear some opinions on them. From what i have read, people seem to like them, and i think they will be the best option for me, but would still like to hear how they feel by some more people. Build quality or any quirks with them.

impecable build quality. Limitless modular options. I am in love with mine. I went shooting with it the other day, and it was like using a new, modern rifle. I love the grips.

I believe you cannot order it as of yet. Its going to be worth the wait. I love it.

Best grip made and I have tried them all.

I will try it if I see one, but so far I have never found a grip I liked more than the A2.

I thought it was an excellent and well-made grip; but I still prefer the Sierra Precision grip for the best ergonomics.

I ordered a set of left over pre-production from the website, showed up in 2 days, very nice. I think they are gouging a bit for how much they charge for the inserts spererately, but that's my only complaint!

Good stuff and will keep you entertained deciding which backstrap fits best.  Of course then you remember to try it with your gloves and have to rethink the whole thing.

I guess I need another light since I can keep a sleeve of CR123's on the gun now

I got a chance to try one this weekend,

The trigger guard is good(Plastic).

The battery compartment is good.

The back strap pieces is ok(I have small hands and the thickest piece fits me the best)

And also the Back piece seems kind of fragile.

I'd rather go with the Hogue or the SPR grip.

I did not have the roll pin installed on the back straps so I could swap them when I showed them to you.  Witht he roll pin installed the back strap will NOT come loose.

Has anyone tried the grip on a AR10 and if so how did it fit?

I have one on an AR10 - it fit fine (pics after work...)

Anyway a bit of MIAD porn in the interim

So I must admit there is a gap with the large backstrap on the AR10T that I had missed before -
I have not shot it since it was mounted -

"normal" backstrap

Large

Thanks KevinB for the pics. Looks like all the grips with the tail on them have a gap when used on the AR10.

NAG -

I have them on all my guns

Yes I agree with the large backstrap there is a gap at the back - a buddy of mine took a heat gun to his and moved it inline with his aestheic appreciation...
(I had to do the same thing with my Safariland 6004 for my Novak safety)

I was just wondering as a few posters on Lightfighter had mentioned their LMT lowers wehre not meshing well with the MIAD.
