Here's a shot of my 10.5 MRP with a SWR Spec-War 2. I have a set of TROY BUIS and a LaRue Aimpoint mount on the way to finish it off. Grip, panels, and stock was finished with DuraCoat..... Fast and quiet - how nice.
--Keith  Updated pics with the Troy BUIS and LaRue Aimpoint mount - I think it's almost complete! Now just to get some heavy use and the nice worn in look.....

Nice setup!!
How did you get the KAC panels to stay there? There are no relief cuts from the breach end (only on the muzzle end). Also, the Vltor with its standard, non-storage stock panels looks cool! |

That LaRue mount sure does resemble an ARMS #22M68. What LaRue model is it?

Its not you... with a old style stock wrench you can get it off fine, but you wont be able to use the new, and in my opinion, better stock wrench with the nut on like that. |

I use the old style wrench - I prefer the castle nut facing this way. Something about not having all the notches exposed.... As for the KAC panels, some very careful dremel work and needle file work allows nothces to be put anywhere on the rail. I prefer the KAC panels to all others, so I do what I need to do. I did order the high Aimpoint mount, so it will be a big improvement over my temporary setup with the M68. --Keith |

What he didn't tell everbody is that in the head to head the Spec war 2 is a little bit quiter than the M4 96D which still had just the hint of a painfull "crack" to it that the spec war did not. The Gem-tec is however a bit shorter and a bit lighter.
