DD is the smallest I have encountered by a lng shot. They are also the lightest aluminum system too.

I spoke with the folks at Daniel Defense today. They advised that without the panels, the handguard is 1/4-1/2" smaller in circumfrence than the M-4 handguards. With panels on, it is slightly larger than the M-4 handguards.

Then use the ladder pannels that only add 1/10" or so. |

I believe that LaRue Tactical FF rails have smaller circumference. The DD is 2.430 top to bottom and LT is 2.215. DD left/right width is 1.95 and LT is 1.999.
