The title says it all. I would like to know if the fixed LE brake on my RRA M4 style upper can be removed without damage to threads or bore. It has a round discolored mark on the bottom side of the brake is this a weld? It dosent appear to be pinned.

I sent mine to Adco and had it removed. Kinda loud, arent they?

Adco uses a milling machine to cut it off. I have heard of some people drilling out the pin. Contact Adco in the industry forums for more info

The pin that RRA uses is HUGE.  I removed mine by with a Dremel to save some money before I sent my upper to Adco.  It was really in there tight.  I ended up cutting through the pin until I hit threads and then used a large adjustable wrench to break the muzzle brake loose.
